Full time 37.5 hours per week working split shifts
£8.72 per hour

As a Support Worker, you will be working as part of a team providing support for a gentleman with learning disabilities and mental health issues.

On a typical day you will be ;

  • Support with the challenges of everyday life such as shaving, domestic chores and cooking.
  • Accompany users to participate in hobbies and activities such as getting fit at the gym, trips out to the cinema or going on holiday.
  • Ensure the user attends appointments.
  • Administer medication as required.
  • Completing daily care plans.
  • Support with finances and budgeting.
  • Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met and to protect the Adults rights to live safely and free from abuse or neglect.

The Person

  • Previous experience is not essential as we provide full training.
  • You may have personal, volunteering or family experience of care.
  • More important is a positive and caring nature
  • Passionate about providing the best care
  • Energetic and understanding
  • Ability to handle sometimes difficult situations and be resilient.
  • Having a positive outlook and maintaining a good sense of humour in sometimes challenging circumstances.
  • Full clean driving licence would be preferred.
